Most solar companies subcontract. We don't. Every Flux project is led by a Master Electrician, installed by our in-house crew, and backed by direct accountability from consultation through activation.
Typical in-home solar sales in Alberta bake a commissioned salesperson, a lead-gen middleman, and dealer-financing fees into the price of the system. Together those layers add 25–40% to the exact same install.
Flux quotes come in 20–40% lower— because we don't pay commissions, we don't use dealer financing, and we do the install ourselves. Send us the quote you were given and we'll show you exactly where the markup is, in writing, no pitch.
Three steps, one team. From your first call to your system producing power - we handle everything.
We learn your goals and review your site and electrical remotely — satellite imagery, photos you share, and your bills. Detailed design and clear pricing, no on-site visit required at the sales stage.
Our Master Electrician-led crew handles your system - in-house, CEC compliant, built to last through Alberta winters.
Permits, inspections, utility activation, and ongoing monitoring. We stay with you long after the install is done.

Neighborhood-level pins. Exact addresses stay private.
Installer vanished? Production dropping? Monitoring offline? Alberta has seen a wave of sales-first companies cut corners and disappear. We take over other people's systems every week.
Monitoring transfer, warranty claims, production fixes, code corrections, and clean expansions — panels, batteries, or EV charging. Master Electrician-led, in-house crew, here for the long run.

Alberta's microgeneration export rate means every kWh you produce has value. Solar isn't a cost - it's a shift in where your money goes.

A typical residential solar system in Calgary costs between $2.00 and $3.00 per watt installed, or roughly $20,000 to $30,000 for a standard home. Commercial systems range from $1.50 to $2.50 per watt. This includes panels, inverters, racking, permits, and installation by our Master Electrician-led team. Residential systems typically pay for themselves in 8 to 12 years through utility savings and export credits. Commercial systems with the 30% ITC and accelerated CCA can see payback in as little as 5 years.
Yes. Alberta has some of the best solar irradiance in Canada - comparable to parts of Florida. Cold temperatures actually improve panel efficiency, and our systems are engineered for Alberta snow loads and wind. Payback ranges from 5 to 12 years depending on system type - commercial projects with the 30% federal ITC and accelerated CCA are at the shorter end (around 5 years), while residential systems typically fall in the 8 to 12 year range.
Absolutely. We install NEMA 14-50 receptacles that work with any EV, as well as wall connectors with universal J1772 adapters. As a Tesla Certified Installer, we also install Tesla Wall Connectors. We handle all electrical work, permits, and inspections.
Standard grid-tied solar systems shut down during outages for safety. If you want backup power, we pair your solar with a Tesla Powerwall or other battery system that keeps your essential circuits running automatically when the grid goes down.
Not always. Many 200A panels can support a 48A EV charger without upgrades. For 100A or 125A panels, we use load management devices to share capacity intelligently, saving you $1,500 to $3,000 compared to a full panel upgrade.
We serve Calgary and surrounding areas including Airdrie, Cochrane, Okotoks, Chestermere, Langdon, Canmore, Banff, Red Deer, and communities throughout Southern Alberta. All installations are completed by our in-house Master Electrician-led team - we never subcontract.
